Synopsis

## Blue Lock *Blue Lock* is one of the defining sports anime of the decade — a radical deconstruction of the soccer genre that prioritizes individual ego and killer instinct over teamwork. Two seasons complete (38 total episodes). **Both seasons are now streaming on Netflix from May 25, 2026**, alongside Crunchyroll. Season 3 (Neo Egoist League arc) is in production, and a live-action film adaptation is set for Summer 2026 — timed to coincide with the FIFA World Cup. After Japan's embarrassing defeat at the World Cup, the Japan Football Union hires eccentric coach Jinpachi Ego to reinvent Japanese soccer. His solution: "Blue Lock," a facility where 300 of Japan's top young strikers compete in a brutal survival-style tournament to forge the world's greatest egoist player. Yoichi Isagi, a high schooler haunted by a missed shot that cost his team a championship, enters the facility determined to become the best. The series subverts conventional sports anime tropes by celebrating selfishness and individual brilliance.
