## DARLING in the FRANXX In a dying world, children bred only to pilot giant mechs in male-female pairs discover that connection, desire, and identity are far more dangerous than any monster. Humanity huddles inside mobile fortress-cities, defended from giant beasts called Klaxosaurs by mechs known as FranXX, which can only be piloted by a boy and girl working in intimate sync. Hiro, a washed-out pilot who has lost his spark, meets Zero Two, a mysterious girl with horns and a reputation for killing her partners. Their partnership reignites his will to fight and sets off a chain of revelations about the children's origins, the adults who control them, and the true nature of the war. Equal parts mecha spectacle and coming-of-age drama, the series probes love, free will, and what it means to be human.
