Synopsis

## Dragon Ball GT *Dragon Ball GT* is the fan-debated third chapter of the Dragon Ball anime legacy — a 64-episode original continuation produced by Toei Animation without direct manga involvement from Akira Toriyama. First airing in 1996 following the conclusion of *Dragon Ball Z*, it charts a new course that has divided fans for decades while delivering some of the most visually inventive and emotionally ambitious material in the franchise's history, particularly in its final arc. Available on Crunchyroll. Emperor Pilaf, seeking the power of the Black Star Dragon Balls — legendary Dragon Balls with the power to grant any wish but scattered across the universe — mistakenly uses them to wish Goku back to being a child. The catch: if the Black Star Dragon Balls are not collected within one year, the Earth will be destroyed. Goku, accompanied by Pan (Goku's teenage granddaughter and Gohan's daughter) and Trunks (Vegeta's half-Saiyan son), embarks on a galactic journey aboard a spaceship to collect the balls before time runs out. This Baby Saga gives way to increasingly intense arcs: first a planetary adventure with alien encounters, then the chilling Shadow Dragon Saga that serves as a culmination of every wish ever made with the Dragon Balls throughout the entire franchise — their accumulated negative energy taking the form of seven Shadow Dragons. The final arc, beginning with Omega Shenron, is one of the most emotionally heavy sequences in the franchise, culminating in a farewell that brought tears to an entire generation. The introduction of Super Saiyan 4 — a primal, transformation combining Great Ape power with Super Saiyan energy — remains one of the most iconic power-up designs in anime history.
