## Dragon Ball Super **Dragon Ball Super** (ドラゴンボール超) is the 2015–2018 sequel to *Dragon Ball Z*, produced by **Toei Animation** and broadcast for 131 episodes. Set after the defeat of Majin Buu, it marks the first original Dragon Ball television series since *Dragon Ball GT*, featuring story concepts co-authored by franchise creator **Akira Toriyama**. Its scope expands dramatically beyond the original saga — introducing the concept of multiple universes, Gods of Destruction, and the mortal who could surpass the gods themselves. Following the defeat of Majin Buu, Earth has entered a period of peace. Goku, now working as a radish farmer to please Chi-Chi, secretly trains with King Kai. The peace is shattered when **Beerus**, the God of Destruction of Universe 7, awakens and seeks out a legendary "Super Saiyan God" he witnessed in a prophecy. What follows is a multi-arc journey across universes: Goku achieves the Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue transformations; a tournament against Universe 6 introduces fan-favorite fighters including Hit and Kale; Future Trunks returns with a catastrophic warning about the villain **Zamasu**; and the series climaxes with the **Tournament of Power** — an 80-fighter, multi-universe battle royale where the losing universes face erasure by the all-powerful Zeno. Universe 7 must field its 10 greatest warriors, including an unlikely alliance of former enemies, for the ultimate survival battle.
