## FLCL A bored boy's dull suburban life explodes when an alien woman on a Vespa runs him over, smacks him with a guitar, and sprouts giant robots from his forehead. Naota Nandaba is a jaded twelve-year-old in a nothing town, weighed down by the absence of his older brother and the confusing attentions of his brother's ex-girlfriend. His mundane life detonates when Haruko Haruhara, a manic pink-haired alien on a yellow Vespa, runs him over, clobbers him with a bass guitar, and barges into his home as a housekeeper. The blow leaves a horn on Naota's head from which giant robots erupt, dragging him into a covert war involving a sinister corporation and Haruko's true intentions. A frenetic, surreal, six-episode coming-of-age fever dream that channels the chaos of puberty through dazzling animation, rock music, and unrestrained imagination.
