## Into the Forest of Fireflies' Light A lonely girl befriends a masked forest spirit who will vanish forever the moment a human touches him, building a tender bond across the summers of her childhood. As a small child, Hotaru becomes lost in a forest inhabited by mountain spirits and is rescued by Gin, a boy wearing a fox mask who exists outside the human world. He carries a heartbreaking condition: if he is ever touched by a human, he will disappear forever. Unable to embrace him, Hotaru nonetheless returns to the forest every summer to be near Gin, and over the years their careful, untouchable friendship blossoms into love. A quietly devastating short film, luminous in its hand-painted scenery, about cherishing fragile connection, the ache of distance, and a bond defined by everything it can never have.
