Synopsis
## JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
*JoJo's Bizarre Adventure* is one of the most wildly original franchises in manga history — a multi-generational epic that reinvents itself with each story arc while maintaining its unique sensibility of flamboyant courage, bizarre powers, and theatrical villainy. **David Production officially confirmed the anime adaptation of Part 9: The JOJOLands in May 2026**, continuing the studio's unbroken run animating every part of Araki's landmark manga since 2012.
The anime begins with *Phantom Blood*, the story of Jonathan Joestar and his adopted brother Dio Brando, whose rivalry sets off a century-spanning conflict. This is followed by *Battle Tendency*, set in the 1930s, starring Jonathan's grandson Joseph Joestar against the ancient Pillar Men. The series is famous for its elaborate battle strategies, the ripple energy technique "Hamon," its iconic poses, and Dio Brando — one of anime's most iconic antagonists. David Production's adaptation faithfully captures Araki's maximalist art style and over-the-top energy. With the adaptation of *The JOJOLands* (Part 9) greenlit, the complete anime saga — from Phantom Blood through Jodio Joestar's Hawaiian adventure — will eventually be available in animated form, making this the perfect time to start or revisit the franchise from the beginning.
