Synopsis
## JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders
**JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders** is a 2014 anime television series produced by David Production, adapting the third story arc of Hirohiko Araki's legendary manga. It is arguably the most iconic arc in the JoJo franchise and the one that cemented the series' global reputation — introducing the Stand power system, the endlessly quotable Jotaro Kujo, and the unforgettable archvillain Dio Brando at his most operatically malevolent.
Jotaro Kujo, a delinquent Japanese high schooler, suddenly manifests a powerful invisible entity — later named Star Platinum — that fights on his behalf. His grandfather Joseph Joestar explains the truth: this is a "Stand," a manifestation of spiritual power, and Jotaro's awakening signals that the ancient vampire Dio Brando, defeated by Joseph's grandfather Jonathan Joestar nearly a century ago, has returned by implanting himself in Jonathan's stolen body. Dio has awakened Stands in the Joestar bloodline, and unless he is defeated, Jotaro's mother Holly will die. Jotaro, Joseph, and a motley crew of Stand users — Egyptian fortune teller Muhammad Avdol, the cheerful Noriaki Kakyoin, the French playboy Jean-Pierre Polnareff, and the loyal dog Iggy — journey from Japan across Asia and through Egypt to confront Dio in Cairo. An endlessly entertaining, globe-trotting adventure.
