Synopsis
## Josee, the Tiger and the Fish
A driven university diver and a sharp-tongued girl who can't walk and rarely leaves home slowly transform each other's worlds in a luminous film about dreams and limits.
Tsuneo is an ambitious university student working multiple jobs to fund his dream of studying marine biology abroad. His path crosses with Josee, a sharp-tongued, fiercely imaginative young woman who uses a wheelchair and has spent most of her life sheltered inside by her protective grandmother, knowing the outside world mainly through books. Hired as her caretaker, Tsuneo gradually coaxes Josee out into the world she's been kept from, while her vivid spirit and dreams reshape his own ambitions. As romance blossoms, both must confront fear, prejudice, and the painful gap between dreams and reality. A radiant, emotionally rich film about disability, independence, and the courage to chase a life of one's own.
