Synopsis
## Little Witch Academia
*Little Witch Academia* is pure joy — a kinetically animated, warmly comedic magical-school adventure from Studio Trigger that captures the feeling of believing in magic with absolute sincerity. The series grew from a short Trigger original film (2013) and OVA (2015) into a full 25-episode TV series (2017) available on Netflix worldwide. It is one of the most accessible and genuinely uplifting anime of the 2010s.
Atsuko "Akko" Kagari grew up as an ordinary girl without a drop of magical ability — but after seeing a performance by the legendary witch Shiny Chariot as a child, she became absolutely determined to become a great witch herself. She enrolls at Luna Nova Magical Academy, an elite school for young witches, as the least magically talented student in her class. Armed only with her unshakeable enthusiasm, her Shiny Chariot trading card, and a reckless refusal to give up, Akko stumbles through lessons, makes friends and rivals among her classmates, and slowly uncovers a mysterious connection between herself, Shiny Chariot, and an ancient magic that could reshape the world. *Little Witch Academia* is fundamentally a story about the power of belief and the way enthusiasm can overcome talent — Akko never becomes naturally gifted, but she repeatedly achieves the impossible by wanting it more than anyone else. Studio Trigger's animation is extraordinarily expressive, and the series has a warmth and optimism that is rare in modern anime.
