Synopsis
## Trigun
*Trigun* is one of the defining anime of the late 1990s — a genre-blending space western that uses its action-comedy format to explore surprisingly deep themes about violence, pacifism, and the weight of living.
On the desert planet Gunsmoke, Vash the Stampede is the most dangerous outlaw alive — wanted dead or alive with a 60-billion double-dollar bounty, accused of destroying a city. In reality, Vash is a gentle, peace-loving goof who only draws his weapon as a last resort and has never taken a life. Insurance agents Meryl Strife and Milly Thompson shadow him to manage his accidental destruction. But as the series progresses, Vash's past is gradually revealed, and the tone darkens significantly — introducing the nihilistic Knives and the morally complex Father Nicholas D. Wolfwood.
