Synopsis
## Trigun Stampede
*Trigun Stampede* (2023) is Orange Studio's bold reimagining of Yasuhiro Nightow's classic *Trigun* franchise — the first adaptation of the beloved manga to use full 3DCG animation. While the original 1998 series by Madhouse is a genre touchstone, *Stampede* is not a remake but a distinct retelling with a darker tone, deeper lore, and significantly expanded exploration of the series' science-fiction underpinnings. Orange, renowned for their work on *Land of the Lustrous*, pushed the visual ceiling for 3DCG anime.
On the desert planet of No Man's Land, rookie journalist Millie Thompson and veteran reporter Roberto De Niro are dispatched to investigate a walking catastrophe: Vash the Stampede, an outlaw with a $$60 billion bounty on his head known as the "Humanoid Typhoon." What they find is a lanky, sunflower-obsessed pacifist who refuses to kill. But as they follow Vash across a world powered by alien technology called Plants, the truth about his origins — and the threat posed by his twin brother Millions Knives — begins to surface. *Trigun Stampede* is a sci-fi western about the ethics of pacifism when violence is the only language everyone else speaks.
