## SHIMONETA: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn’t Exist
In a Japan where dirty jokes are outlawed and citizens wear monitoring collars, a naive boy is blackmailed into a lewd terrorist group waging war for the freedom to be vulgar.
Sixteen years after a strict morality law banned all obscene language and imagery, Japan is a sanitized society where citizens wear collars that monitor their speech and gestures. Earnest Tanukichi Okuma enrolls at the nation's top public-morals academy to be near its admired student council president, only to be blackmailed into joining SOX, an underground "obscenity terrorist" group led by the foul-mouthed Ayame Kajou. Disguised as the lewd vigilante "Blue Snow," Ayame bombards the prudish populace with smut to fight for free expression. Crude, fast, and gleefully absurd, the series weaponizes raunchy comedy into a satire of censorship, repression, and the human appetite for the forbidden.
