## Mob Psycho 100 *Mob Psycho 100* is ONE's second major work, following *One-Punch Man* — a deceptively simple webmanga that reveals itself to be one of the most emotionally intelligent explorations of emotional repression and self-worth in the medium. Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama is an eighth-grader with extraordinary psychic powers — so extraordinary that he has learned to suppress his emotions entirely, because when they overflow, so do his abilities, with potentially catastrophic results. His emotional meter literally ticks upward throughout each chapter toward 100%, and what happens when it tips over depends on what emotion triggered it. Working part-time for the con-man "psychic" Arataka Reigen, Mob navigates a world of evil spirits, rival psychics, and the painfully ordinary challenges of adolescence — wanting to join a club, talk to his crush, be seen as normal. ONE's art is rough and raw, but the storytelling is astonishing: a series ostensibly about superpowers turns out to be entirely about growing up and learning that your worth as a person has nothing to do with your abilities. The anime adaptations by Bones are outstanding; the manga is where the story lives.
